Many thanks to our concertmaster David Coucheron and his sister Julie for saving the day on Thursday with an incredible, last-minute performance. Just when it was looking like we were going to have to cancel the pre-concert chamber music performance due to a musician's illness, David and Julie stepped up to offer up exquisite performances of violin sonatas by Beethoven and Grieg. Perhaps only those who have played together since childhood could have pulled off this feat?! The plan for tonight is to have the originally scheduled performance of Brahms' String Quintet No. 2 in G Major, which is free and open to the public at 6:45 pm. Our musicians continually impress with their generosity in performing pre-concert chamber music. Big thanks to Christina Smith, Principal Flute, for coordinating this incredible series. 📸 @randlines
